Jump to date [Android]
Vinh Dinh
When you open your project, we now show you the last day that has content instead of today. This change was added in version 4.2.3. Does this solve the issue for you? If not, please reply to this post. I'd love to learn more about your usecase. Thanks!

Vinh Dinh: for me it would be cool if i was able to searce up a date and find the second instead of scrolling to the date
Vinh Dinh
Thanks TheaZela! Could you tell me a bit more about the last time the feature would have come in handy? I would love to learn more about your usecase.

Vinh Dinh: For example, I didn't clip videos for the first three months of this year. But now near the year end, I'm going back to fill in all the dates I've missed. (I want to do this manually, not with auto fill.)
It's extremely tedious to scroll back many months in the timeline. And worst of all, the timeline snaps back to the present day when you press back, so you have to do this endless scrolling for each video clipped!
So my workflow looks like:
- Endless scroll to get back to January
- Clip a video
- Press back to get to the timeline (snaps back to December)
- Endless scroll to get back to January
- Clip a video
etc.
It would be almost as good to have a "jump to latest unfilled day", but I'd rather be able to jump to a specific date. https://feedback.1se.co/feature-request/p/jump-to-previous-empty-day-on-android

Andy: Sorry that was a silly bug. Could you update to 4.6.2? That should have fixed the endless scrolling hopefully. 🙏

Vinh Dinh: Fixed, thank you!!
It still would be nice to have jump to date, but this is much better in the meantime.

I'm looking for this feature on Android, too!

I was searching the suggestions before submitting exactly this. The hidden feature on iOS is a godsend! Definitely should be documented more.

Thanks for the request!
Are you using the app on Android or iOS?
Also, do you want to jump between dates in the calendar view of your project or in your media library to find content for your snippets faster?
Silvia Burgos
Awesome!
We've got a very hidden feature on iOS that works perfect for your case.
When looking at the calendar on your Timeline project, slide right. The time picker should appear on the left side. That's the easiest way to move from one year to another. :)
Silvia Burgos
hahaha we'll take it. We know it's super hidden and unknown. 😅

Silvia Burgos: is there a hidden feature on Android too? I'm retroactively doing a freestyle video of a trip and to get it in order I have to scroll all the way down every single time.
Silvia Burgos
emilysianne: Unfortunately, this isn't available on Android yet.
Silvia Burgos
Yes we are!

Not in the very near future, but there's cooler stuff coming instead. 😛
