Limit number of clips per day by total duration, not the number of clips (currently 2).

I appreciate the relatively recent update that extended the max duration of clips to 10s; however, this doesn't address one of the primary reasons for requesting this feature, which was that some days have
many
more events than others. With the extension to 10s / clip, it is now possible to add more video per day; however, if the video corresponds to more than 2 events, it has to first be edited in another app (like iMovie) before being imported to 1SE.
This work around is quite a bit more time-intensive than adding clips directly to 1SE and results in all sorts of duplications of content.
It would be
really
nice if the limitation were "20s / day" split over as many clips as the user would like (or whatever technical limit the code may require). Personally, I don't believe we've ever made a clip of a single event that lasts longer than 5-6s; however, I regularly edit together multiple 1-3s clips into a larger 10s clip for the day, so that we have a reminder of the multiple important events that happened on that day.
I know a custom mashup is possible; however, I don't believe the date stamp is accessible there, so something is lost in the process.

This would be
wonderful
. The increase to 10s clips was great. But I'd prefer to be able to spread those 10s over multiple clips. We're constantly having to exclude moments from really busy periods, because we have to choose only 2. Otherwise, I have to edit them together in another editor before importing, which is a lot of work.Silvia Burgos

Hi! It seems like a Freestyle project would suit your needs perfectly. Here's more about that: https://help.1se.co/en/articles/3404316-how-to-use-a-freestyle-project

Distribute "2 clip / day" max over time, for pro users.

Based on 3 months usage, it seems some days are very calm and some days have a
lot
of different activities. As such, we end up with many days where we have only 1 clip, and just as many where we have 2 clips, but could easily have added 3 or 4, to capture "big" moments.
It'd be really nice if the 2 clips / day limit were averaged out over multiple days.
e.g. Day 1 - 1 clip used; 1 clip banked (total banked: 1)
Day 2 - 1 clip used; 1 clip banked (total banked: 2)
Day 3 - 2 clips used; 0 clips banked (total banked: 2)
Day 4 - 1 clip used; 1 clips banked (total banked: 3)
Day 5 - 3 clips used; - 1 clip banked (total banked: 2)
Day 6 - 4 clips used; -2 clips banked (total banked: 0).
N.B. I'm only proposing a roll-over average like this because I assume there is a solid reason for the 2 clip / day limit (i.e. actual physical storage, not just a philosophical opinion about how many clips
should
be allowed per day). If there is no actual real-world reason for the limit, then I'd just suggest increasing the limit. eg. in a joint family mash, you might want to be able to do 4 or 5 1-2s clips instead of 2 x 3s clips, because you can include a photo /1s vid of every family member that way. Currently, you have to choose who is included in any given day (if the activities aren't shared).
