Archiving and space optimization (saves up to 80% of space) has been released on iOS with the most recent app version. We'll be working on bringing the same functionality to Android next.

Lissa Pompos: Hi Lissa, you're currently on 4.9.4. The latest app version that's rolling out now is 4.10. Can you go to the App Store and update? You should be able to see the new option in settings. https://help.1se.co/en/articles/8596451-how-to-optimize-and-archive-a-project

Vinh Dinh: I've updated to version 4.10 and more recently 4.10.1. My main project went from 3.15GB to 2.84GB. Not much of a savings. Is there anything else you suggest?

Robert H: The space saving will be different depending on the quality you record your content in. The higher resolution it his the more savings you should be seeing. Space optimization also takes some to to finish processing. Another thing you can do is archiving a project you don't need entirely and offload it to 1SE cloud. Vinh Dinh: Thanks for the quick reply. I'm right in the middle of completing another year, so archiving this current project wouldn't be a good idea. However, I will start a new one once this current one is done and archive this old one. Thanks again.

It seems like this discussion has been going on at least four years now. Any update from the team at 1SE about approximately when this feature will launch?

I would love to be able to place snippets from a particular time period in the cloud (in pro) - for example, I have one large project which is for my dog, and I’d like to be able to archive everything pre-2020 from that project on the cloud to save space on my phone. It would be too messy for me to have to do a new project for every month or year just so I could archive them later.

Please please pleeeeeease set up a feature that allows Pro users to store the videos on the cloud and not on the device. It takes up crazy amounts of space and just gets worse the more you use it! I don't want to delete my 4 year project I just can't "afford" the space. Theres much less point of paying for the Pro version is if it doesn't free up the space!

Thanks Rachel! Agree, this is coming. We plan to allow you to archive away projects that you've finished and those will be offloaded from your device. You can retrieve the content again at any time. Does that make sense? Would love any input y'all might have.

Allow us to archive projects so they don't show up on the home screen without having to delete them. I usually journal my vacations into a video, but they clutter up my home screen. I don't really want to delete the project after I've mashed, but that is currently the only option. (Android user - not sure if ios has this option already)
