3 years later and it’s somehow even worse! I’ve lost my free freestyle. Just another basic feature behind a paywall. Every time I update the app I just lose another feature and gain absolutely nothing but a constant pop up to purchase the full to do anything! There nothing on here you can’t do on iMovie. I finally give up after 5 years of keeping up with my journal!

Laura Bushnell: Free users that had freestyles can keep them indefinitely. When you delete a freestyle you should have seen a popup warning you that you won't be able to recreate them. Did that not show up for you? I know you're probably not in the mood, but in case you can share why you prefer a freestyle over a journal, I'd love to hear. Silvia Burgos: loads of people including my friends and people on here didn’t pay and got the app in 2020 during lockdown and had 2 snippets for free . If we contacted would we get back those features we had for free and the no branding throughout ?

So I find out now that I can't add 2 snippets because it's a PRO only feature. I've always been able to do 2 snippets a day. Now what's going to happen to my previous 1 seconds that already have 2 snippets... First the new interface upgrade where it makes it more complicated/multistep to post a snippet. Now this. I feel like these changes aren't that great. 1SE used to be a very simple app that I enjoyed, but now it's making me considering deleting.

Silvia Burgos: features have been removed and moved behind a paywall though for free members. Many people have expressed that they were able to get 2 snippets a day as a free user before the update and the only branding free users had was the end card not the logo throughout, which came without warning in the latest update

David Jane: I have the same problem I lost so many features I had for free with no diclosure in the update. It felt like a cash grab from free users who had no idea the features they've had for free would just be taken away. It's also a lot harder to use now to just an a snippet, its a step backwards

Agreed! Not only does the update make the layout way to cluttered and time consuming to simply add a clip, but the free features have no just disappeared with no warning. I saw I didn't have the latest version and it just looked as though there was just some extra features for pro members which is fair but nothing said about free users so I updated and found I can only export my video with the branding constantly in the corner and the end card has disappeared. I thought maybe I could at least download my original clips again from each day without the branding and paying for it as these are my clips and it says it's fine to delete original clips from your device as its stored in the app once you upload. I feel as though if I can't export my project without branding for free I should at least be able to get my original clips back without the logo in the corner. The fact that I have also lost the ability to add a second clip for free as I could before with no warning is also annoying and now looking back at previous days where I did have a second clip I don't know whether to replace these or not as it may just delete it completely. Please consider rethinking the update for free members who had no warning of what they were getting with the update. Pro members receive a lot which is fair but removing features free members had was unfair as it was not disclosed.

You also cant export your own individual snippet without the branding. It's incredibly annoying for someone who thought they could delete the original video knowing it will be backed up on the app. I now don't even have access to my own videos without their brading on top. I wish I never deleted the originals
